Our Story
gird / gәrd / (verb):
1: to tie or encircle
2: to surround
3: to prepare for action
Paul instructed the Ephesian believers in chapter six, verse 14 of his epistle to "gird" themselves with the truth. Girded Truthware takes that instruction literally. While the context is spiritual warfare, what better way to shine the light of God's Word (likened to a sword later in Ephesian 6) than to wear it for all to see?
Emily & I (Pete) were both born again as teenagers. We met through her dad (my pastor) while I was stationed in Hawaii with the Marine Corps, and we were married three years later.
20 years, a couple careers, and three daughters later, the one consistent thing in our lives has been the truth of God's Word. Our marriage, our family, and this company have been built on and for that truth. Girded Truthware is the embodiment of our desire to get the Word of God in the hands and on the backs of people all over the world.
